In 1865, Georges Favre-Jacot combined all watchmaking professions into a watch manufacturer. Just four years later, the first pocket watch was presented. Inspired by an award at the World Exhibition in 1900, equipment for on-board cars, trucks, trains and airplanes was created from 1910 onwards. The Zenith company made a name for itself. In Le Locle, the manufacturer was given the name "Manufacture with 2,000 gold and silver hands". Various watch models such as the El Primero caliber were successful. In 2000, the Zenith company became part of LVMH. A special honor was its inclusion as a World Heritage Site in 2009. The Pilot Big Date Special collection received the "Petite Aiguille" award at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève in 2012.
