The company's success story began in 1875. After training as a repairer, Jules-Louis Audemars began developing his own watches. In December 1881, he founded the Audemars Piguet company with his friend and repairer Edward-Auguste Piguet. Initially, they specialized in the production of pocket watches and soon expanded their repertoire to include wristwatches. In 1891, they introduced the first wristwatch with a minute repeater. As their reputation increased quickly, it didn't take long before the first branches were opened outside Switzerland. Today, Audemars Piguet develops and produces sought-after luxury watches that are highly respected in connoisseur circles.

From the Royal Oak to the Royal Oak Offshore

One of the company's successful models is the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore. When the Royal Oak was introduced in 1972, critics could not imagine how successful this model would one day be. But Audemars Piguet proved them wrong. With the Royal Oak steel watch, they wrote an extraordinary success story. Around twenty years later, the new interpretation Royal Oak Offshore was launched. This brand was also underestimated at first. Today, the Royal Oak and the Royal Offshore are inseparably linked to the traditional company. The Royal Oak Offshore Diver by Audemars Piguet has been on the market for more than 20 years. With the Forged Carbon, the company has now launched a new model that gives the angular diving watch even more emphasis. The massive 42-millimeter diameter case is reminiscent of black marble at first glance. Many other parts of the model are also in strong black and give the Royal Oak Offshore Diver a very unique effect. The dial and strap are also black. The hands and indices, which are in white and yellow, ensure good readability. The luminescent coating means that the displays glow in the dark and underwater, so that they are always legible.
