Breitling Premier B15 Duograph – A tribute to the inventor trio
Breitling's Premier luxury watches made their debut in the 1940s and are now back in a classic, modern design. Alongside the Premier Datora and the Premier Chronograph, the B15 Duograph is the clear highlight of the collection. The watches, which were designed as a tribute to the manufacturer's three great inventors - Léon, Gaston and Willy Breitling - are of unrivalled quality at first glance. There is no doubt that they are worthy successors to the "original Premier" models.
The Breitling Duograph: Luxurious Chronograph with Rattrapante
The highlight of the coveted Breitling watches is the chronograph complication with rattrapante, or split-seconds. Thanks to this ingenious function, two time measurements can be taken in parallel, making it possible to measure intermediate times. It is generally known that this complication is one of the most complex watch functions. It therefore represents the art of haute horlogerie, which has a long tradition at Breitling.
Under the case of the Breitling Premier B15 Duograph is a COSC-certified mechanical movement with a power reserve of around 70 hours. The hand-wound caliber, which comes from Breitling, is characterized by its high precision and is protected against water up to 10 bar. With its 42 millimeter diameter, the B15 Duograph is comparatively handy despite its immense functionality.
The two versions of the Premier B15 Duograph
If you want to own the Premier B15 Duograph from Breitling, there are two versions to choose from. Firstly, there is the model with a black dial and a strap made of black alligator leather. The numbers and indices on the dial pick up the colour of the 18-carat red gold case and form a harmonious contrast on the matte black background. Secondly, the watch is available with a brown leather strap and a blue dial. The case in this version is made of stainless steel, which gives the watch a slightly sportier touch.
Both references are equipped with two symmetrically arranged sub-dials, luminous hands and simple Arabic numerals. The two rectangular chronograph pushers fit beautifully into the overall picture and perfectly round off the design of the timepiece - together with the transparent sapphire glass case back and the grooves on the sides of the case.
