Known for luxury watches in the premium segment, the Zenith watch manufacture in Le Locle, Switzerland was founded in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot under the name "Fabrique des Billodes" and transformed into the joint stock company "Fabrique des Montres Zenith" in 1911. The Zenith Elite collection takes its name from the ultra-thin automatic "Elite" movement released in 1994, which was named "Movement of the Year" by the trade press for its ultra-thin dimensions and rugged reliability. All models in the Zenith Elite series are classically elegant dress watches in an ultra-thin case. The top models in the series also feature a tourbillon. The Zenith Elite collection also includes ornate ladies' watches, some made of gold and also with a moon phase display and diamond studding. A highlight of these watches is the model "Elite Lady Moonphase", which is only 33 mm small.

The models of the Zenith Elite series are further developments of the automatic movement released in 1994 and now present themselves with contemporary features. The new 6150 caliber of the super slim watches brings it to a power reserve of 100 hours due to its 2 barrels. Depending on the model, the case is made of stainless steel or rose gold and some variants are pressure-resistant to 5 bar (50 m). In addition to the standard size of 42 mm, there are also smaller models with 39 mm. The new Zenith Elite also has a modular design and can thus be expanded with additional functions.
