King Seiko: Mechanical watches follow the traditional example

The development of the first King Seiko timepieces dates back some sixty years, and yet the “old” models are still familiar to every connoisseur in the watch industry. The new King Seiko collection breathes new life into the traditional predecessors and follows in gigantic footsteps, which it is able to fill with design strength and the usual high manufacturing quality that Seiko watches reliably exhibit. With the new mechanical King Seiko watches, Seiko proves once again that revisiting and reinterpreting popular models from the past does not have to result in half-baked modernized products with a dusty look. Quite the opposite: with the King Seiko collection, the watch brand has created a product line that harmoniously combines a sense of tradition with a modern zeitgeist.

Technical data and facts about the King Seiko watches

Time to take a look under the case of the King Seiko models. Depending on the version, it contains either the automatic caliber 6R31 or the caliber 6R55. The 6R31 movement with a 70-hour power reserve gives the models without a date function their precision, while models with the 6R55 movement have a date window and a 72-hour power reserve. Regardless of the caliber used, the watches are water-resistant to 100 meters and convince the wearer of their proven quality with maximum accuracy.

Slim and elegant: the striking design of the King Seiko collection

Sharp, clear lines, tasteful color combinations and reflective surfaces: The King Seiko collection presents luxury watches that make an impression. The polished dials create a dynamic interplay of light and shine, while the patterned dial versions are sometimes reminiscent of the naturally beautiful structure of a Japanese chrysanthemum. The dials in deep black, rich red, soft light gray, calm blue or muted green are adorned with accurately shaped hands that perfectly match the linear indices. The dial is framed by a slim steel case that holds a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The strap is also worth a closer look, as it features plenty of beveled surfaces that continue the play of light on the dial. All in all, the King Seiko collection can only be described as a real highlight that brings high quality and traditional craftsmanship to the wearer's wrist at a comparatively affordable price.
