Patek Philippe Herrenuhren
Patek Philippe watches are among the most coveted and sought-after men's watches in the world. The brand with the two words that make the hearts of watch collectors beat faster has an interesting history. Its founder, Antoni Norbert Patek (or Antoine Norbert de Patek in French), came from Poland and was forced to flee his homeland after a revolution in 1831. After months on the run, he finally settled in Geneva, Switzerland, and became fascinated with watchmaking.

The Patek Philippe Nautilus watch model
When customers are looking for a Nautilus, models from the 2000s or the 70s come to mind. There are 30 years between the Nautilus 3700/1A and Nautilus 5711/1A models, yet at first glance, not much seems to have changed. But still, the models Nautilus from Patek Philippe do have differences. The porthole case of the model 3700/1A consists of two parts, the bezel and the case. The bezel and case are screwed together like a porthole. The case of the 3700/1A measures 42 millimeters in diameter and is considered to be above average in size. The Nautilus 5711/1A had again increased in size. The case now measured one millimeter more and was also a bit higher. Furthermore, the case now consisted of three parts. In addition to the bezel and the body, the back now formed a separate component.
The new movement of the Patek Philippe Nautilus
The appearance of the case caused the use of a new movement in Patek Philippe's Nautilus model. The new model was equipped with a second hand, thus changing the appearance of the luxury watch by making the bezel slightly higher. In the case of the Nautilus dial, the pattern was retained, but the color was changed. The green-blue coloration changes depending on the incidence of light. Looking at the hands, the difference between the model 5711/1A with second hand and the model 3700/1A is immediately obvious. Choices can now be made according to taste and preference. The automatic caliber 28-255C powers the Nautilus. The case differences of the Nautilus references 3700/1A and 5711/1A can be clearly seen in the height, despite the different models, Patek Philippe was able to preserve the elegant design of the model Nautilus.
The bracelet of the luxury watch Nautilus
Compared to many sports watches, which usually have a solid bracelet, the Nautilus from Patek Philippe has a thin and supple bracelet. Compared to the older model, there are hardly any differences. However, the folding clasp has been newly created. The folding clasp ensures that the clasp cannot open unintentionally. This provides more security when wearing the Nautilus.
The watch brand Patek Philippe
Patek Philippe is one of the most famous watch manufacturers in Switzerland. The watch brand has now been able to establish itself on the global market, with even members of royal families and captains of industry being enthusiastic about this brand. Luxury watches from Patek Philippe also count as collector's watches, which are often passed on to the next generation. In the mid-seventies, Patek Philippe was known for models with complications and elegant, flat gold watches. The company decided to make a luxury sports watch. In order to create a special watch, designer Gérald Genta was hired to design this watch model. The special features, such as the porthole design, the combinations of satin and polished components, and the stainless steel bracelet were introduced to the public in 1976 as the Patek Philippe Nautilus.
