Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Moonphase
Omega's Speedmaster wristwatches - as well as all the brand's other watches - form a perfect collection for watch fans with style and sophistication: precise movements with incomparable design and now with an added extra. The Speedmaster Moonwatch Moonphase measures moon phases in addition to the time, a feature that plays on the fact that the Speedmaster was the "first watch on the Moon." The watches have a 12-hour and a 60-minute counter at 3 o'clock and a date dial at 9 o'clock, while the exact moon phase can be read at 6 o'clock. To enable readability at all times, the hands and indices are coated with Super-LimiNova, making them glow in the dark.

Moon phases
Since a lunar month is not 30, but about 29.5 days, it is extremely difficult to measure, at least for a standard movement. But not for Omega's Moonphase. The extremely precise mechanism of the Omega watches also applies to the measurement of the moon phases because here it is enough to readjust every 10 years, otherwise the clockwork runs with pinpoint accuracy. But the design is also remarkable. The stainless steel models have a detailed image of the Moon, which is based on the extraordinary micro-structuring on the metallic crystal disc. If you look very closely, you can even see the famous footprint of astronaut Neil Armstrong.
The fascinating movement
Driven by Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 9904 or 9905, composed of 368 parts apiece, these movements have been recognized by METAS as Master Chronometers. The well-known precision of Omega timepieces does not disappoint: the Co-Axial Master Chronometer clockworks are without question the best in the art of watchmaking today.
Unmistakable design
The Moonphase has other attractive features as well. Its striking colors ranging from opalescent silver tones to black and blue to sunburst gray, along with various ceramic bezel options, and elegant stainless steel or 18K gold cases create an overall look of a classic wristwatch that is impossible to resist.
