Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope

The Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope takes the legendary design of the Speedmaster watch. It has been combined with various inspirations from OMEGA's wristwatch chronographs from the 1940s. All models in the series have a 43 mm dial, which is silver-colored, blackened or oxidized bronze, depending on the model. In addition, there are two further sub-dials on the dial with 60-minute and 12-hour counters.

Three chronograph scales

The three distinctive scales in the 1940s snail design feature tachymeter scale, pulsometer scale and telemeter scale. The tachymeter measures speed based on distance, while the telemeter measures distance based on the speed of sound. The pulsometer measures the human heartbeat, allowing the wearer to measure their own heartbeat or that of another person at any time. The bezel of the Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope features another tachymeter scale.

Durable precision thanks to revolutionary components

The timepiece is powered by a Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 9908 with manual winding and a 60-hour power reserve. The Co-Axial escapement and column wheel make the wristwatch insensitive to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. Other revolutionary components on the Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope include the silicon hairspring, two barrels mounted in tandem, and the time zone function with rhodium-plated finish and Geneva stripe arabesques.

Different variants for different tastes

The Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope comes in seven different variants, so every man can find his favorite watch. He can choose between a trendy leather strap with a stainless steel clasp and Omega logo, or a robust stainless steel bracelet with a patented comfortable clasp adjustment.

Special highlights

In addition to the proven scratch-resistant sapphire crystal that is anti-reflective on both sides, the Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope is water-resistant up to 5 bar (50 meters) and has high shock resistance. The sapphire crystal has a hardness rating of 9 on the Mosch scale (1 to 10), providing an unclouded view of the dial at all times. All of this ensures that this timepiece requires significantly fewer maintenance intervals than other watches, giving it a longer lifespan. Another highlight is the transparent case back, which provides a view of the movement.
