Technology
The hand-wound Alpha movement is the most classic of all Alpha movements, which is fitted in the Tangente. In addition to the Alpha movement, the Tangente is also available with movements that offer date and power reserve indication. Then there are, of course, the automatic movements, such as the super-flat DUW 3001 caliber or the neomatic DUW 6101 date caliber.
Glashütte
For over 170 years, world-class timepieces have been made in the small Saxon town of Glashütte, a place steeped in watchmaking tradition. The watchmakers who work here are among the best in their guild. There are few products in the world that are as strictly protected as watches from Glashütte. Strict rules apply to the "Glashütte" designation of origin. For example, at least 50 percent of the value added to the caliber must be produced locally in Glashütte. NOMOS Glashütte achieves up to 95 percent instead of the required 50 percent.
Innovations
NOMOS delivers a sensation in the world of fine watches with its patented NOMOS-Swing system and can do what almost no one else in the world can: manufacture its own assortment.
Company history of NOMOS Glashüttee
NOMOS Glashütte was founded in 1990 by Roland Schwertner and has deep roots in Glashütte. All creative work that is not directly related to the construction of watches takes place in the company's own design studio in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The watches are often designed in collaboration with well-known designers such as Mark Braun or Werner Aisslinger. Today NOMOS is the largest manufacturer of mechanical watches in Germany.
